What may be happening
A blocked defrost drain, poorly seated drain pan, condensation or a water-line fault on dispenser models may be responsible.
What you can safely check
Keep the floor dry. Look for an obvious spill and check door closure. If water is near the plug or socket, avoid touching wet electrical equipment and isolate power only if safe.
How a technician approaches it
A technician can clear the appropriate drain, inspect the pan and check hoses or valves where fitted. Do not push wire into hidden drains.

Note when the problem began, whether one or both compartments are affected, any displayed code and the exact model number. Avoid repeated restarts or changing several settings at once.
